About

Shopify Engineer · AI Engineer

I’m a Shopify developer with six years of experience building stores, apps and backend integrations for brands like noo.ma and God Save Queens.

Currently I’m also building my own tools around e-commerce search and catalog data.

I trained as a biologist — a Master of Science in ecology.

001 AI product search Working on Shopify App

Shopify now ships semantic search for free — and still nobody can tell you how well search actually works on your catalog, because no store has a labelled test set and messy product data poisons any embedding. I’m building search for multilingual Shopify catalogs. It fixes the data first and proves every change against a hand-labelled golden set (nDCG, recall, per language) before it ships. In progress — catalog pipeline and BM25 baseline first, embeddings and hybrid on top.

002 noo.ma 2022 – Present Shopify

Home-design retailer selling furniture, textiles and décor across Europe and North America. The store ran on a stock theme with nothing custom in it. Rebuilt it as a heavily modified fork of Horizon and wrote the apps it would otherwise have rented, each built against this exact theme and catalog. Analytics is a custom dataLayer on the storefront, plus checkout events relayed out of Shopify’s sandboxed pixel runtime, where an ordinary dataLayer push can’t reach. Lead developer since 2022, working across the apps, the data and the MCP layer that opens the catalog to agents.

003 God Save Queens 2026 Shopify

Lingerie, swimwear and an activewear line, sold across Europe and the US. The site was slow and carried logic that had quietly stopped firing. Rebuilt the front end on a Horizon fork — faster, and finally looking like the brand it sells — along with the external integrations.

004 Gabowool 2025 Shopify

Specialty yarn shop selling its own knitting patterns alongside the yarn to make them. Migrated off a WordPress build with a broken checkout. The kit builder does the real work: pick a pattern and a size, and it resolves how many skeins of which colors the project needs, checks each one against stock, and refuses the set until every one is available.

005 Mastaba 2024 Shopify

Family-run pottery making hand-cast funeral urns for people and pets. Their first site, and the whole urn catalog moved onto it. There is no cart: these sell through funeral homes and partners, so every model routes to an inquiry instead.

006 Skladuj24 2023 Shopify

Industrial supplier — pallets, ladders, hoists, spill containment. Built from scratch: a deep category tree, net prices for business buyers, and order handling wired into BaseLinker.

007 Elite 2023 WordPress

Family bakery running since 1990, best known for its St. Martin’s croissants. Built on WordPress at the client’s request, with no checkout. The site carries the product range and the list of cafés, and takes the franchise and job inquiries.

008 Store AI agent Working on Shopify App

A shopping assistant on the storefront, built on UCP — the open protocol Shopify and Google published for letting an agent act on a store rather than only describe it. It answers questions about products and orders, compares items and builds a cart.

009 Product migrator 2024 Shopify Custom App

Copies a product from one Shopify store to another with everything hanging off it — images, tags, metafields, metaobjects — through the Admin API. A CSV export drops most of that, which is the whole reason it exists.

010 Omnibus 2022 Shopify Custom App

Under the EU’s Omnibus Directive, a discounted product has to show the lowest price it sold for in the previous thirty days. This records that history and prints the line on the product page, so compliance stops being someone’s spreadsheet.

011 Sales bar 2026 Shopify Custom App

The promo bar across the top of the storefront, and the admin screen behind it, so a sale can be scheduled without a developer editing the theme.

012 Size chart 2023 Shopify Custom App

Size tables on the product page, kept in the admin instead of pasted into the theme. Needed on almost every garment the store sells.

013 Serce 2024 Shopify Acquired

Coffee roastery — “serce” is Polish for heart. Their first store, a Dawn fork taken a long way from the original, carrying subscriptions and a lot of motion work. The animation is most of what makes it read like the brand.

014 Aplug 2024 Shopify Acquired

Streetwear and sneakers, with shops in Łódź and Gdańsk behind the online store. Brought in on inventory: per-location stock surfaced on the storefront, and tighter stock handling than the store had been getting by with.

015 Szplinramps 2024 Shopify

Skatepark builder — miniramps, quarterpipes, grindboxes, sold off the shelf, built to spec or rented out for events. A new store built with a second developer. Scope here was the theme and the motion work.

016 vvidoki 2022 Shopify

Polish slow-fashion label making unisex basics on circular-economy principles. Storefront built to another designer’s spec. The brand closed in 2024 and the domain now belongs to someone else.
